About a month ago, I was invited to attend a conference put together by LifeLock Identity Theft Solutions. The conference, which was held last week, really opened my eyes to the growing threat of identity theft. For example:
We all know about the benefits of taking a proactive approach with wellness programs. It is a known fact that employees who participate in wellness programs take 27 more steps per day than employees who do not participate. I’m happy to say that in addition to a few more steps per day, my wellness program also includes a financial component! Enrolling in an identity theft protection program is my preventive “medicine” for my financial security. Sorry unknown attacker – I’m protected!
Identity Theft is taking on a life of its own, and spreading at an astonishing rate. The information shared at the conference re-confirms the need to advise employers/employees about the real risk of identity theft. More importantly, there is an easy and cost effective way to beat the thieves!
