The last three months of 2014 have been a whirlwind of employee meetings, client visits and benefit fairs! Our team put on some serious miles traveling across the state to talk employee benefits with employees. Several of our clients even launched their eBin (employee benefits websites) during this time!
These websites offer basic benefit information, forms and short videos to help employees find answers to their benefits questions all with the click of a button. The sites are available 24/7 and are easy to navigate too, so when an employee gets home he or she can use the site to share information with family members – especially during open enrollment when employees are on information-overload.
Keeping the site top-of-mind for employees can be a challenge, which is why we produce two employee-focused newsletter and video series: HealthFocus and FinancialFocus.
FinancialFocus offers practical tips for planning and saving for retirement. Andrew Grow, ISG investment advisor, and Jon Braddock, ISG president and CEO, have been putting together FinancialFocus tips for over a year and recently published the book, RetireEase: A Practical Guide to Help You Keep Your Financial Focus, a collection of the guidance offered in the FinancialFocus series. This series is an excellent fit within an organization’s financial wellness efforts and is available exclusively through ISG’s retirement plan services.
HealthFocus is a new collaboration between ISG Advisors, Hybrid Athletic Club and Fit Fresh Cuisine. In this series, Jon Braddock and Mike Gorski, RD, CD, ACE CPT, Personal Trainer and Registered Dietitian at Hybrid Athletic Club & Fit Fresh Cuisine, tackle a new wellness topic each month. The first two topics in the series covered healthy holiday eating and seasonal affective disorder.
Each month these newsletters are posted to our client eBin websites. Going forward, we can email the newsletters with a link to the eBin website directly to Human Resources to forward to their employees or we can email the link to the employees directly! Our goal is to provide employees with helpful information while easing the workload for HR.
Employee feedback has been overwhelmingly positive for the eBin sites. Over the course of the last year we conducted several employee surveys for clients using eBin. Commonly, employees love having 24/7 access to benefits information and forms. Because the site is so easy to navigate and can be viewed on any web-enabled device, employees can find the answers they seek quickly and easily. In addition, this self-service has led to a reduction in benefits questions – and HR appreciates that.
